First World Heritage City Tour

Cable Car + CRATER + Equator Line & unesco colonial quito

This full day tour takes you on some of the highlights that Quito has to offer! We start at 8:30 at your hotel from where we will drive to the Teleferico. The Teleferico is located at an altitude of 4.100 meters (13.451 feet) reachable by cable car. Once there, you suddenly realize that Quito is surrounded by volcanoes. The cable car ride of aproximately 8 minutes will take you up Pichincha, one of the many volcanoes this country has and located just on the west side of Quito.

After taking in the breathtaking views of Quito and the Avenue of  Volcanoes we will descend for our next stop: the interactive museum of Inti Nan located exactly on the Equator where you will not only find a great introduction to the various indigenous cultures that live in Ecuador but will also be able to take part in some experiments that will only be succesful right on the Equator.

We continue our day to the colonial city centre of  Quito, the second largest in LatinAmerica, where we will walk to take in all the beauty this UNESCO World Heritage Site has to offer: La Ronda with its typical houses and workshops, the Independence Square, the Presidential Palace, the Basilica and of course the golden church known as Compania de Jesus decorated with 7 tons of gold leaf.
At around 4 PM you will be back in your hotel.
