Day 1

Your tour begins once you arrive from mainland

Ecuador to the airport on San Cristobal island.

Grab your bags and pay your National Pa rk entrance fee to get started. Your guide will greet you just outside the security area, help you to your hotel and point out some important landmarks in town and a tasty lunch in a local

restaurant. This afternoon begins at the Interpretation Center awaits us where we will learn an overview of Galapagos and its human history. A 20-minute walk will take us to the site known as Tijeretas hill, the place where Charles Darwin landed for the first time in Galapagos in

1835. Continue to Punta Carola beach, to enjoy your first Galapagos sunset!

Today youll explore the highlands of San

Cristobal! Private transport will deposit you at

the base of a tall hill, surrounded by endemic miconia and mist. Climb the wooden stairs to the top to enjoy the views. Amid the fog, youll see the only freshwater lagoon in Galapagos. Watch frigate birds clean the salt from their wings by

swooping to the surface of the water, or enjoy the vegetation by hiking along the brim of the crater. Return to town for lunch and then board the public speed boats for the ~2-hour ride to Santa Cruz island.

Day 3

January 8

Day tour –

Bartolome

The day starts with a 1-hour bus transfer from

your hotel to the channel to board the

catamaran with the rest of the passengers. The boat ride last around 2-3 hours, and then a challenging hike and snorkel in the bay. Return to Santa Cruz by boat and then the bus will drop you off at your hotel. Full day activity ~10 hours

Highlands of Santa

Private ranch with giant tortoises

Today you will explore the highlands of Santa

Cruz in private transport with your guide. Discover the geologic beginnings of the archipelago by entering the underground lava tunnels. Then walk through a private ranch where giant land tortoises are free to roam in

their natural habitat. Lunch at the ranch and then relax on the hammocks.

Day 5

January 10

Charles Darwin

Research Station PM public speed boat to Isabela Island

Enjoy free time in Pto. Ayora or take a self-

guided tour to the Charles Darwin Research Station to learn about the conservation projects that continue on the islands. See yellow land iguanas and different species of giant land tortoises. After lunch, board the public boat to Isabela, lasting ~3 hours.

Sierra Negra

Perla snorkel

Todays hike (around 8 hours), can be muddy

and rocky, but boasts the best views of the

worlds second-largest caldera and landscapes. If youre up for it, enjoy an optional snorkel at Concha Perla after you return to town.

Tintoreras activity

PM public boat transfer to Santa Cruz

Take a small panga boat ride through the bay to

see the penguins, then a short hike amongst colonies of marine iguanas and glimpses of sharks! A calm snorkel acitivity is last. Lunch in town and then return to Santa Cruz by public

boat, ~3 hours.

January 13

Depart Baltra

Well assist you in returning to the airport on

Baltra island, checking in and wishing you safe travels as you continue your journey in

Guayaquil or Quito and beyond.
