Cable Car + Crater + Equator Line & Unesco Colonial Quito

This full-day tour takes you on some of the highlights that Quito has to offer! We start at 8:30 at your hotel from where we will drive to the Teleferico. The Teleferico is located at an altitude of 4.100 meters (13.451 feet) reachable by cable car. Once there, you suddenly realize that Quito is surrounded by volcanoes. The cable car ride of approximately 8 minutes will take you up Pichincha, one of the many volcanoes this country has and located just on the west side of Quito.

After taking in the breathtaking views of Quito and the Avenue of  Volcanoes we will descend for our next stop: the interactive museum of Inti Nan located exactly on the Equator where you will not only find a great introduction to the various indigenous cultures that live in Ecuador but will also be able to take part in some experiments that will only be successful right on the Equator.

We continue our day to the colonial city center of  Quito, the second largest in Latin America, where we will walk to take in all the beauty this UNESCO World Heritage Site has to offer: La Ronda with its typical houses and workshops, the Independence Square, the Presidential Palace, the Basilica and of course the golden church known as Compania de Jesus decorated with 7 tons of gold leaf. 

At around 4 PM you will be back in your hotel.

CANCELLATIONS POLICIES

Scheduled tour bookings are not confirmed until payment is received ( by Credit card, Paypal, or wire transfer bank*).

In any event, Tour Guide Ecuador strongly advises you to take out travel insurance.  It’s well worth the peace of mind.

We always suggest a call, email, or text the day before your tour to ensure all your details are as they should be. It is not obligatory, but it helps.

If confirmed standard departure tour bookings are canceled the following fees apply:

More than 7 days in advance – 10% of the original fee.

3-7 days in advance – 50% of tour cost.

Within 72 hours of commencement – refunds will not be available.

If changes are made more than 6 days before the original booking there is no charge. The rebooked date must be within 2 months.
