Quito – Pedernales – Cojimies
This route will take us directly from the Andes (the highlands of Ecuador) to the Coastal area in a really short time, crossing at the same time some climatic zones and local towns.
Our adventure will start driving towards Manabi province located in the northwest area of Ecuador, from the capital Quito, which is located at 2850 msnm. Our destination, the small town of Pedernales lies at 860 msnm and we will do this massive downhill ride in just less than 5 hours.
On the way, we are going to cross the valley of San Antonio de Pichincha were the middle of the world monument is located, the Choco Area, one of the most biodiverse areas in the world where the change in the vegetation will be very dramatic. We will have a stop for lunch in a local restaurant, your guide will be always available if you feel that you want to order one of the local dishes!.
At the end of the day, we will arrive to Pedernales and the sea will be waiting for you.

Cojimies – Puerto Cayo – Machalilla – Puerto Lopez
Today we will be riding on part of the “Ruta del Spondylus” (the Route of the Spondylus shell), a very important shell in the pre-hispanic period, not only used for jewlery, but also like a coin for exchange products.
We will be enjoying the sea and all it magnificence, our first stop will be Puerto Cayo, this is a great spot for whale watching and on top of that a peaceful place for the beginners of surfing. Afterwards, we will enter into the Machalilla National Park, the biggest protected coastal area in Ecuador, where Puerto Lopez is located. It’s is a place full of magic that we will discover in the following days.

DAY 3
Puerto Lopez – Parque Nacional Machalilla – Puerto Lopez
Today we are going to tour the national park and learn more about its unique attractions, the Machalilla National Park got its name from the Machalilla culture, one of the most dominant pre hispanic cultures in the coastal area. The protected area includes beaches, several near the waterfront as Salango, Horno de Pan, Sucre, Pedernales and El Sombrerito, and also the famous Isla de la Plata.

Puerto Lopez – Agua Blanca – Los Frailes – Puerto Lopez
Today we will know more about the local people of the Agua Blanca community – one of the few places in Ecuador where is possible to find medicinal mud.
In the afternoon, we will enjoy a relaxing time at Los Frailes Beach, considered as one of the best preserved beaches in Ecuador besides the Galapagos Islands, white sand, blue water the best scenery for a picture!!.

DAY 5
Puerto Lopez – Isla de la Plata – Puerto Lopez
Today we will take a shared tour to the Isla de la Plata Island in a local ship, lunch and snorkeling is included. The Isla de la Plata (Silver Island) is a small island, named in this way because of the white color due to the guano of the birds that life there. What makes this island a real must-visit place are the Galapagos animals that you can find here such as Blue Footed boobies, Red Footed boobies, Nazca boobies, marine iguanas, sea turtles and more.

Puerto Lopez – Montañita
Today we will visit Montanita, located in the Santa Elena peninsula at approximately 50 minutes from Puerto Lopez. Among locals, it is known as the best place to surf due to the beaches with strong breaks. Here, the atmosphere is relaxed and the people are very kind – a perfect place to enjoy the sunshine with a cocktail and some nice music.

Montañita – Pedro Carbo – Cumanda – Pallatanga – Riobamba
Time to head back to the Andes area! We are saying bye to the sea, and at the same time, the route in front of us is calling us.
We will start to climb to the south part of the Andes, passing by picturesque local towns such as Cumanda. Depending of the weather, we will stop in one of this places for lunch.
Our final destination today is Riobamba, located in the Chimborazo province where the huge Chimborazo volcano looms above the city. Its peak is the furthest point from the centre of the Earth at an altitude of 6263.47 meters above sea level.

Riobamba – Chimborazo – Ambato
Today we will visit the Chimborazo volcano, we are going to drive until the first shelter and leave our motorcycles. From there we will climb until the second shelter. Sounds really easy, but remember, you are climbing towards the point furthest from the centre of the Earth, so it could be difficult, but never impossible!.
Our hotel will be waiting for us in Ambato. Ambato is one of the most important literature towns, because most of the famous writers were born here like: Juan Benito Vela, Juan Pio Montufar and Juan Montalvo. In Ambato you can appreciate traditional Haciendas houses and the park called “Los enamorados”

DAY 9
Ambato – Cotopaxi
On the way from Ambato to Cotopaxi National park, you can make a stop on Yambos crater lake – if you want you can make a boat trip around 30 minutes, then you can test one of the gastronomic peculiarities of Ecuador in the town of Salcedo, the famous Salcedo ice cream. After that, we head to Cotopaxi National Park. Cotopaxi or “Cuello de Luna” (Quechua word means neck of the moon) In this part of your trip, you will leave your bikes at the entrance, rent a pick-up truck ($40 per person, not included) and enjoy all the beauty of the park. Lunch at the park.

Quito – Papallacta – Tena
In this route, we will have the opportunity to visit the Yasuni area, one of the most biodiverse areas in the planet, its area is approximately 10200 km between the Pastaza and the Orellana provinces. Here is possible to find a tropical rainforest and also protects part of the waorani nationality territory.
Here we find hundreds of tree species, wide rivers that overflow with the torrential rains, and large animals such as the jaguar, anaconda, and harpy eagle. We also find very small animals such as leoncillo or pocket monkey, the smallest primate in the world, and a great variety of reptiles and amphibians that make this park among the most bio-diverse in the world.
Our adventure will start driving towards the Tena province, this time, we will cross to the mountains in order to arrive to the amazon, we will depart from Quito, cross the valleys area, the airport area and we will take the route to Tena, if the weather is good, we could have an stop in the Papagayos viewpoint, where is possible to see the separation between the highlands and the amazon vegetation; we will continue riding until Tena city, where we will have the opportunity to try, the famous “maito” a local preparation of tilapia (a local fish) and yuca with chili everything cooked inside of a plantain leaf directly to the fire, also you could try the traditional option that is a maito filling with chontacuro (is a grub of a local beetle).
We have to meet the lodge representative at 130PM in the Arajuno bridge, so we will leave our motorcycle in the parking lot until the end of the program.
13:30PM Arrival at Itamandi Ecolodge – We started our trip to Itamandi EcoLodge on the Arajuno Bridge, where we will take a motorized canoe that goes upriver for 20 minutes to begin our great experience in the rainforest.On this boat trip, you can appreciate the magic and beauty of the Amazon rainforest traveling along a river that flows in a zigzag through the jungle like a giant snake, considered the main system of the Pacha Mama (Mother Earth). Once we get to the pier area of Itamandi EcoLodge, our staff will welcome you. From there we will continue to relax in the lounge with a fresh tropical snack and a brief briefing that will contain the general information about the accommodation and activities, provided by one of our naturalist guides.
18:30PM Night Walk (optional) A flashlight and camera are the most important tools on this night excursion, which allows guests to listen to and capture the nocturnal sounds of fishermen bats, owls, some insects, tarantulas, toads, frogs and possibly Snakes. If the sky is clear, we might have the opportunity to observe a lot of stars. 19:30PM Dinner

5:45 – 6:00AM Exit to Saladero (according to time State)
Early in the morning we take a canoe ride for 15 minutes upriver to visit the Parrot Saladero and appreciate a unique place where parrots and parakeets meet in order to get the minerals that will help them digest the fruits or seeds they have consumed. Hundreds of parrots and parakeets will approach the treetops and then descend to the clay wall to eat this Mineral-rich land. It is essential to have binoculars to enjoy this magnificent natural act.
7:00 – 8:30AM Back to the lodge for breakfast
9:00 or 9:30AM Departure to a long walk – After breakfast we went on a hike through the primary and secondary Forest. This activity lasts about 2 ½ to 3 Hours.
13:00PM Back to the lodge for lunch

In the afternoon it is time to enjoy a cultural activity. An Amazonian Kichwa community will receive us and learn about their way of life and the interaction they have with the Forest. This meeting will show that part of the Amazon that is not in the maps: the Amazonian peoples in their daily lives. Part of our visit to the community is to share the famous “chicha”, a fermented cassava beverage that has become part of their holiday and daily Consumption. We will participate in the preparation of this drink and try some of the traditional dishes. We will finish the visit with a traditional dance made by the children of the community and also have time to buy some handicrafts made by the natives of the Area. This small business is very helpful in supporting the daily life of the indigenous peoples of the AREA.

DAY 3
Tena – Puyo – Baños
8:00AM Breakfast
9:00AM Departure and motorized canoe ride for 20 minutes to the Arajuno Bridge to collect our motorcycles.
We will continue our route until Baños de Agua Santa located in the Tunguragua Province, where the Tunguragua volcano is located, for that reason the thermal baths are one of the most popular activities here, additional to the adventure ones, such us rafting, rappelling, zip lining, cable car and more.
In our route we are going to visit the city of Puyo where the Balsa museum is located (entrance fee is not included), we will stop here for about 15 minutes to know more about the versatility of this material. a few minutes later, we will be at Rio Verde, where the “Pailon del Diablo” a beautiful waterfall is located, we will spend here around one hour (depending of the health condition of each person) for a very refreshed visit!
If the group are agreed, a few minutes later we also have the opportunity to practice zip lining, and flight over the trees.

Quito – Baeza – Misahualli
In this route we will have a “taste of an Ecuadorian experience”, we will have the opportunity to share with local people in the highland, in the amazon region and also in andean communities.
Our first destiny will be Misahualli region in the Napo Province, in the route we are going to stop at Papallacta, a local town located at the slopes of the Antisana volcano, where is possible to find thermal water, we will spend here 2 hours in order to continue our trip.
We have to meet the lodge representative at 1300PM in the Arajuno bridge, so we will leave our motorcycle in the parking lot until the end of the program.

Baños – Alausi – Cuenca
Today we will have an early wake up! we have to catch our train at Alausi Train Station, that means that we will leave Banos at 0530AM after the breakfast, once at Alausi, we will go to the Train Station to take our “Tren de la Nariz del Diablo” (Devil nose railway), this route is one of the most dangerous train journeys in the world, due to the zigzag movement the train has to make as it moves forward, and then backward in the same place, as it climbs a steep hill. At the end, we’ll go back to our route to Cuenca.
Cuenca is the capital of the Azuay province, the third largest city in Ecuador, it complete name is “Santa Ana de los cuatro ríos de Cuenca”, very similar to Quito in its charming with its cobblestone streets, old-world cathedrals and colonial parks dating from the 16th century. Cuenca is famous because of many craft traditions including ceramic, metal works and the international famous panama hat.

Cuenca – Ingapirca – Guayaquil
After breakfast, we will take our motorcycles and drive way to Ingapirca Inca Vestiges, one of the most important evidence of the Inca culture in our country, is a very important ceremonial place, the most significant building is the Temple of the Sun, it was positioned so that on the solstices, at exactly the right time of day, sunlight would fall through the center of the doorway of the small chamber at the top of the temple.
Our next destiny will be Guayaquil, located at the south coast of the Pacific in the Guayas Province, on the banks of the Guayas River and crossed by several estuaries. the climate is hot and generally humid, Guayaquil offers travelers a surprising number of sights and activities such as museums, historic neighborhoods, sprawling parks and the renovated Malecón 2000 were is possible to find some good restaurants of local food, another nice place to visit is the “parque de las iguanas” the Iguanas park, where is possible to see iguanas in free, walking around all this area. Another place to visit is the Las Penas neighborhood where the view of the city is incredible.

DAY 10
Puerto López – La Mana – Quevedo – Quilotoa
Time to head back to the Andes area! We are saying bye to the sea, and at the same time, the route in front of us is calling us.
We will start to climb to the south part of the Andes, passing by picturesque local towns such as La Mana where the most of the plantain production is concentrate, here we will stop for a minutes in order to see how is this process, from the harvest to the box. Depending of the weather, we will stop in one of this places for lunch, due to the plantain plantations and the cacao plantations, we suggest to use all the time insect repellent.
By the afternoon, we will arrive to the Quilotoa, The “Laguna Quilotoa” is a sparkling esmerald lake inside the extinct volcano crater, located at 3.600 meters above sea level. The way back to the top, where the parking area is, takes one hour, or there is an option of renting a mule for USD 5,oo each, or USD 8,oo each with a comfortable settle for the way back. our hotel is just next to the crater.

DAY 3
Today we hike along a rocky trail to the cliffs for an incredible view, a nesting site for many marine birds. Later, relax on Loberia Beach, or take a swim with the sea lions and sea turtles. In the afternoon, we’ll visit a different beach, Punta Carola, and enjoy the beautiful sunset.
DAY 5
We pick you up from the airport to take to your hotel in Cusco afterwards we go and visit Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Quenqo, Pucapucara, Tambomachay all these arqueological places are around Cusco city. This tour start from 2:00 pm til 7:00 pm.
