Cotopaxi, the second most popular adventure destination in Ecuador and it is just a mere 2 hours away from Quito. The park is currently only partially open to visitors due to the activity of the volcano in August 2015. As of the end of  December 2015, some areas have been opened up again.

If you find being in nature an uplifting experience, then take a visit to the second-highest active volcano in the world, it will leave its mark on you. Cotopaxi Volcano (5.897 meters above sea level) is surrounded by the fragile paramo ecosystem and here you can find pristine forests, mountains, lake limpiopungo, wild horses, and much more. Even though it`s not possible to summit, the National Park is still worth a visit because of its constantly changing landscapes.

We will be happy to show you a different side of this impressive volcano.

If you happen to have some time off on a Thursday we recommend taking our tour to Cotopaxi, for just $10 extra per person we will also take you to Saquisili, a small indigenous town where you will find one of the most authentic Indian markets of South America.  Definitely worth your time!

CANCELLATIONS POLICIES

Scheduled tour bookings are not confirmed until payment is received ( by Credit card, Paypal, or wire transfer bank*).

In any event, Tour Guide Ecuador strongly advises you to take out travel insurance.  It’s well worth the peace of mind.

We always suggest a call, email, or text the day before your tour to ensure all your details are as they should be. It is not obligatory, but it helps.

If confirmed standard departure tour bookings are canceled the following fees apply:

More than 7 days in advance – 10% of the original fee.

3-7 days in advance – 50% of tour cost.

Within 72 hours of commencement – refunds will not be available.

If changes are made more than 6 days before the original booking there is no charge. The rebooked date must be within 2 months.
