Get to know the culturally diverse history of old Quito.

Our Quito city tour guide helps with this wonderful day city tour. This 4-hour city tour will take you on the highlights of the colonial city centre of Quito, with departure time at your convenience. (either morning, afternoon or evening).

Depending on where you are accommodated we will either drive to the historic city centre or start walking immediately, taking in all the sights this UNESCO World Heritage Site has to offer.

On our walk, we will pass by various parts of the centre as the Coricancha (ancient Inca temple to worship the sun) and local markets. A not-to-miss part of this tour will take you inside the Compania de Jesus, also known as the Golden Church due to its use of 7 tons of gold leaf inside!, The Presidential Palace at the Independence Square, the square itself with its monument (also known as Plaza Grande), the Archbishop’s Palace and of course the Basilica church.

Once we have visited the main sites in the centre we continue our way to the Panecillo. Built on a hilltop this is the largest aluminium construction in the world representing the Madonna and overlooking the city of Quito. From here you will have amazing 360 degrees views of Quito, Ecuador.

CANCELLATIONS POLICIES

Scheduled tour bookings are not confirmed until payment is received ( by Credit card, Paypal, or wire transfer bank*).

In any event, Tour Guide Ecuador strongly advises you to take out travel insurance. It’s well worth the peace of mind.

We always suggest a call, email, or text the day before your tour to ensure all your details are as they should be. It is not obligatory, but it helps.

If confirmed standard departure tour bookings are cancelled the following fees apply:

More than 7 days in advance – 10% of the original fee.

3-7 days in advance – 50% of tour cost.

Within 72 hours of commencement – refunds will not be available.

If changes are made more than 6 days before the original booking there is no charge. The rebooked date must be within 2 months.
